Looking to start your sourdough journey? Get started right away with our live, mature starter.
Care Instructions:
– Open your package immediately and transfer your starter to your desired jar.
– Feed a ratio of ~ 1:2:2 (go for a consistency of thick pancake batter) and mark the level of your starter on the jar.
– Once it has doubled in size, you’re ready to bake (or keep feeding every 12-24 hours until you achieve the volume you’re looking to have for your recipe); or simply pop it in the fridge [until you’re ready to feed prior to baking].
Notes:
– If kept at room temp, your starter will require feedings every 12-24 hours.
– If kept at fridge temp, your starter will require feedings every 4-5 days.
– If you’re brand new to sourdough, there are many resources available online!
