Sourdough Starter

Description

Looking to start your sourdough journey? Get started right away with our live, active, mature starter. You’ll be able to begin baking with it right away! It’s shipped fed, so you’ll be able to feed it upon receiving it & get right to baking beautiful loaves, delicious desserts, and more!

Care Instructions:
– Open your package immediately and transfer your starter to your desired jar.
– Feed a ratio of ~ 1:1:1 (go for a consistency of thick pancake batter) and mark the level of your starter on the jar using masking tape or a rubber band.
– Once it has doubled in size, you’re ready to bake! Or simply pop it in the fridge until you’re ready to feed again prior to baking.

Notes:
– If kept at room temp, your starter will require feedings every 24 hours.
– If kept at fridge temp, your starter will require feedings every 5-7 days.
– If you’re brand new to sourdough, there are many resources available online!
